He study at Paris during one year and seven in CRNS . He had got a doctorate in physics in 1955 and became physician in CERN at Geneva. He contributes in the development of particle detector, in particular the multiwire proportional chamber and won the Nobel Prize in 1992. Q2 :

Frederic Joliot-Curie was born in Paris in March 19, 1900 and he dies the August 14, 1958. He obtained his Doctor of science degree in 1930. He worked on the projection of nuclei, which was an essential step in the discovery of the neutron and the positron. However, with his wife (Irene Curie) their greatest discovery was artificial radioactivity and received in 1935 the Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Q3 : We learn some scientific popularisation magazines: – Sciences et Vie – Pour la science Science et avenir But we don’t read of them. Q4 : |Quoted particles in the text |Protons |Neutrons |Electrons | |Where do we find them? their mass? |1,673×10-27 |1,675×10-27 |9,109×10-31 | Q5 : In comparing the nucleus’ mass with the electrons’ one we can deduce that nearly all the mass is concentrated in the central nucleus. Q6 : The Hydrogen atom is composed of 1 proton and 1 electron and there isn’t neutron. Q7 : The diameter nuclei of one atom is 1×10-15 m The diameter of one atom is 1×10-10 m that is to say 1 nanometre
